About this product

Soup & Hot-Fill Containers

A container filled with hot soup and sealed immediately does two things: it softens if the material was not chosen for the fill temperature, and it builds pressure and steam as it cools. Both are design decisions taken before anything is ordered.

So the material is specified against the actual fill temperature, and the lid is chosen deliberately: vented where the product is going straight to a customer and condensation would ruin it, unvented where it will be chilled and the seal has to hold. Getting that backwards is the commonest complaint on this product and it is entirely avoidable.

We are precise about reheating too, because this is where the category is routinely vague: microwave-safe and oven-safe are different properties, and a container rated for one is not automatically rated for the other. We state which applies, and we do not blur them.

Soup bars, delis, food halls, hospital and care catering, and delivery kitchens.

FAQ

Soup & Hot-Fill Containers: quick answers

What is the minimum order for hot-fill containers?
Minimum order is just 12 — with bulk pricing tiers as quantities grow.
How fast will my order arrive?
Your free mockup lands within 24 hours and the finished order ships in about 2 weeks — express turnaround is available for tight dates.
Vented or unvented lids?
Vented if the container goes straight to a customer and trapped steam would turn the food to condensation. Unvented if it will be chilled and the seal has to survive being carried. Choosing the wrong one is the most common complaint on this product, and it is a thirty-second conversation at quote stage.
Is microwave-safe the same as oven-safe?
No, and the two are blurred constantly. They are different temperature regimes and different material properties, and a container rated for a microwave may deform badly in an oven. We state each rating separately for each material and will not let one be read as the other.
